Do You Allow Dogs/Pets Onboard?
Yes, we absolutely love our pets and welcome them on the boat to enjoy the day with us!
Do I Need Experience To Drive A Boat?
No, prior boating experience is not required to rent a boat. Our boats are very easy to use, and our waters are easy to navigate. There is land on both sides of the bay and the waters are quite shallow. We provide top of the line vessels, and you won’t find a nicer boat rental around Englewood or Manasota Key.
Are We Allowed To Bring Food And Alcohol On The Boat?
Yes. Food and drinks are absolutely allowed on the boats. We rent coolers and sell bags of ice! Just keep in mind that Florida’s law requires boat operators to remain below the level of .08 blood alcohol. If you need a designated driver, we also have Captains for hire.
Do You Charge For Fuel On Boat Rentals?
No, fuel costs are not extra on a boat rental with Beach Road Watersports. We include more than enough fuel to spend the whole day on the water!
Can We Take The Boat Into The Gulf Of Mexico?
No, boats are restricted to the inland waters of Lemon Bay. Navigation is restricted from the North Manasota Key Bridge to the railroad trussell bridge on the north side of Boca Grande.
Are Life Jackets Provided With Boat Rentals?
Yes. We have all the necessary Coast Guard approved life jackets and floatation devices included with your boat rental. We also supply life jackets for children of all sizes. Children 6 and younger must always wear a life jacket while the boat is underway.
How Old Do I Need To Be To Rent A Boat?
Boat renters must be 21 years old with valid I.D. and major credit card. This is required, and there are no exceptions to this rule.
Do I Need A Boater’s License?
What Is Your Cancellation And Weather Policy?
Weather – Beach Road Watersports does not operate in unsafe weather conditions, but a light rain shower is not a deterrent. The company will assess the weather, and should it be determined whether the conditions are unsafe to operate, the rental may be postponed, or it will be canceled. If your trip is canceled by Beach Road Watersports for any reason, every effort will be made to reschedule your trip. If you are unable to reschedule, you will have the option of receiving a voucher for a future trip or receiving a full refund.
Cancellations – We understand that life happens, so we have a no hassle 48-hour cancellation policy. However, cancellations made within 48 hours of your reservation, and no shows, are charged in full.
We make every effort to stay in front of the weather. If we cancel your reservation due to weather, every effort will be made to get you rescheduled. If rescheduling is not an option, then a full refund will be made.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we require a $250 damage hold per boat. In lieu of a damage hold, we do offer a Damage Protection Plan that may be purchased at checkout.
